Ron Barten found his passion for fitness during his undergraduate experience at OSU. He began personal training for the Colvin and Seretean Wellness Center at Oklahoma State University while studying for a degree in Nutrition. Upon completion of the program in 2014, he went on to service a broad range of clientele through the YMCA and Life Time Fitness. Ron then earned a Master’s in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Ohio University in 2022, and provided personal training through the Ohio University Diabetes Prevention Program.

During these experiences, Ron noticed a common barrier to exercise with his clients. Chronic aches and pains from life’s activities were preventing individuals from seeing progress and ultimately meeting their goals. The root of these issues appeared to dysfunctional movement patterns. Helping people move better by showing them they do have the ability to train pain-free allowed them to reclaim their fitness, and by extension, their lives again.

Ron personally enjoys strength training, cats, and all things nerd.
